RESON’s Portable SVPs include a range of models that use direct sounding technology to measure sound velocity while a vessel is underway.

SVP 20/25 models are deeper water systems that measure temperature as well as sound velocity. SVP 14/15 models measure sound velocity for shallow depths (temperature measurement for these models is available as an option). Housed in a compact yet easy-to-use unit, all Portable SVPs can operate in two modes:

1) They can send sound velocity data directly via cable to an external device

2) They all can operate autonomously by using the internally sealed and rechargeable batteries and storing data collected in internal memory

All RESON SVPs also include PC-based software for logging and presenta-tion.
